How many sexual partners are considered the norm in different countries?
You’ve probably thought at least once in your life how many sexual partners can provide you a “hero-lover” status, and what number is better to add a zero when you are talking with friends so as not to see pity in their eyes.
In everything concerning sex, the norm is a rather vague concept both in terms of the duration of the sexual act and in the number of partners. In different countries, these numbers are different. A study by the University of Michigan involved 9,600 men aged 33 to 40 from ten countries. And that’s what turned out.
In France, if you can boast about romantic relationships with more than 16 girls, you will be called illegible. If this amount ranges from 2 to 12, then your appetites are average. But if less than two, then you are probably a shy guy (or fill out a questionnaire in the presence of your wife).
In Austria, the "below average" number implies from 1 to 7 partners. From 7 to 15 - everything is fine with you. More than 15 - you're a stud!
In Belgium, standards are slightly lower. The minimum number of partners here is considered 4, and from 4 to 12 is the norm.
Residents of Portugal, Spain, and the UK call the norm from 2 to 10 girls.
Americans, Italians and Dutch people think that this number is from 2 to 9.
According to statistics, Russia is not out of place. The average number of sexual relations in the country is considered to be from 4 to 9.
Regarding the ideal number of partners, the majority of respondents say it is 7.
But with all this, scientists end the study with the argument that, despite all the data, it is worth focusing only on your feelings.
